Glycerine is a colorless, odorless, & viscous liquid which is known to find application in food processing, pharmaceutical, chemical, and cosmetics industries. It is known to have chemical formula C3H8O3 with molar mass of 92.09 g/mol and density of 1.261 g/cm3. This is a polyol compound which serves as solvent & sweetener in food industry and is also used as preservative for various items. For non-food applications, it has ability to improve smoothness and provide good lubricating properties. Glycerine is most commonly used in electronic cigarette which heats with atomizer. It is miscible in water and has boiling point of 290 degrees Celsius.
